There once was a man
Who liked to live fast.
He never realized
The good times woudn't last.
Having fun and partying
Was all he cared about.
He never gave a thought
To when the sand runs out.
As time went on
He let love pass by-
He lived his life
With no-one by his side.
In a far away place
Where he couldn't see
Was someone who still loved him-
But it was never to be.
He grew lonely and old
And regretted his days-
He wished he could go back
And change his ways.
Near the end he remembered
The young girl he knew
And he finally told her
"I've always loved you".
Now his young girl visits
His grave all alone
She sits and she cries
For a love never known.
Life turned her old,
Weathered and worn.
But it's a young girl's spirit
That comes to mourn.
She holds onto her memories
Of A long ago love
And dreams of their meeting
In Heaven above.
