The End Of Never

I read your letters,
Saying you'll love me forever.
Professing undying love
And always being together.

So many broken promises
Causing so many tears.
Why does it still hurt
After all these years?

Words on tear stained paper;
Why am I saving them?
All of them filled with lies
Of forever again and again.

What we had is now gone
And never has replaced forever.
Now it’s time to forget the past,
I’ve reached the end of never.
