His life here on earth was too short But his heart has touched a nation. I never met this young man, Still I admired him immensely. His smile and personality Warmed my heart intensely. John was the bravest Young man you’ll ever meet. Kind, cheerful, patient And blessed beyond belief. He never complained, He never asked why me. He accepted his fate And set his spirit free. He never turned his back on life. No matter how much pain. The love he shared With everyone was not in vain. A new angel has arrived in Heaven, But Johns memory will live on forever. He taught so much to so many And brought us all together. He was a messenger Of God He lived for each tomorrow He gave us hope and faith His leaving is our sorrow.
