Christmas is a magical time
It's supposed to be a happy day.
We celebrate the birth of Christ
And all He's given us along the way.
But it can be a day of sadness,
Lonliness, despair and tears.
For quite a few people
Christmas is the saddest day of the year.
Perhaps they have lost loved ones
Or have broken hearts, shattered dreams,
Or just spending their days all alone.
There are families with children or parents
Fighting in a strange land waiting to come home.
Never take for granted what God has given us.
Look for the beauty in every day and everything we do.
Nature, clouds, music, the moon and stars,
Falling snow, a soft rain and the sun shining through.
Most of all... let's never forget
God sent His Son for me and you.
He is with us through broken dreams and heartache,
His Son was born on Christmas day
To bring us Peace and Love and forgiveness too.
